Clare is a character. She is a archaeologist who is in Cape Vedra hunting for a major find.

Opening scene[]
Clare first appears in the intro scene with hired toughs Corn and Joey where she finds a special coin to set the game into motion.
Alcohol for Albert[]
When Henry gets to the parking lot at the Full Mast Bar on his way to buy alcohol for Albert, Clare is just entering the building, allowing him to catch a glimpse of her. When he enters the Main floor as well, she is already berating Corn and Joey. She then briefly crosses paths with Henry on the way out, ignoring his attempt to introduce himself and storming out of the bar.
Meeting Clare[]
Henry meets Clare again at the entrance to Estero State Park. He asks her if she is a treasure hunter, to which she gets defensive and proclaims she is actually an archaeologist and seems to want to get rid of him until she realizes he is Idaho Johnson's son. She seems to calm down but is still more interested in her own work than talking to him and hurries off, leaving him to reminisce about the first time he met her many years prior in Peru. After this encounter, Clare appears on Henry's status screen.
Spying on Clare[]
When Henry first explores the entrance of the caverns and gathers the small screwdriver located just inside, he also finds Clare's clothing in a pile. A moment later he sees her in the underground lake and tries to spy on her from his hiding place, but accidently kicks a rock. She immediately suspects Corn and Joey are back and spying on her, so Henry quickly slips out of the cave before she can investigate. After this encounter, he will not be able to re-enter the caverns entrance.
